The header photo shows the old Lansdowne Road, the scene of countless unforgettable days in Irish rugby. The photo was taken by Brendan Rankin.

I’d like to take this chance to thank all the photographers who have granted me permission to use their work. If you like any of the photos used on this site, check the ‘Photos’ section at the bottom of each post. You’ll find links to more of the photographers’ work there.

Enjoy the blog!

  1. Hi Murray,
As it turns out we have some few things in common ! My son Garbhan ( Limerick FC ) has just started in UL doing English and new media. I have a huge interest in rugby and photography and could be a source for your blog. I post with framing but if this gives you any bother I can e-mail unframed versions if you ask. What I would love is press access to Thomond Park . I have the gear but no accreditation !
    Wishing you all the best.
    Liam.

  2. Soon to post Castres v Perpignan Top 14 game from 31st December. See if you can fit in around Munster v Castres 14th Jan. We were lucky in my opinion they did not field full team against us . Their back row would frighten you !
    Liam
